Hannah Matthews is an artist whose personal practice is characterised by a playful subversion of traditional taxidermy for a contemporary audience.

Celebrating the beauty of the natural world whilst evoking atmospheric elements of mythological stories, folklore and the supernatural, her work goes beyond re-animating life to create a suspended moment in time, alluding to a wider narrative. 

 

All specimens are ethically sourced with no animals killed for the purpose of the work.
